Why the Philippines needs more Feminists

While feminism seems to be en vogue (based on the proliferation of statement slogan shirts and branded empowerment campaigns targeted towards women), many are still intimidated by the term or are afraid to be associated as one. For some Filipinos, the word feminist is synonymous to being a man-hater, angry activist, or closeted lesbian.

I have learned so much from this experience. The first was learning to accept one's defeats with grace, and to focus on what one could still accomplish instead of what one had lost.
